Bama Bayou’s Gulf World Marine Park
Bama Bayou’s Gulf World Marine Park is quickly taking shape. Currently, crews are constructing the building that will house Gulf World’s gigantic aquarium. Recently, the aquarium’s acrylic walls were installed. ATM Acrylic Tank Manufacturing, the world leader in custom aquarium manufacturing, used a large crane to lower the panels into place. Upon completion, this will be one of the largest aquariums in the southeast at nearly 80 feet long holding around 160,000 gallons of water. This aquarium, showcasing tropical fish from the Caribbean and South Pacific, will serve as the back drop for Gulf World’s aquarium restaurant and as a viewing aquarium for the marine park. Construction crews are also currently digging Gulf World’s main performance pool. This will be the site of the impressive performing dolphin and sea lion shows. In the meantime, work continues on Gulf World’s Paradise Resort. Upon completion, this will be the only condo in the country located inside a marine park.
